Awesome. I saw that movie. And I thought it was awesome. I hear that it was based on a series of comics created by Frank Miller in 1986.

I've read it. Many years ago before the movies even existed. I thought they were quite interesting for 1986. And they featured some very unique plot twists here and there. Needless to say both the comics and the films are MUCH more gruesome than any other Batman cartoon we've had in years. Even more than Mask of the Phantasm.

Tell me about it, I have never read any comic book as dark as The Dark Knight Returns. It is one of my favorite comic books of all time. And I
hate to say this, but I haven't even watched Mask of Phantasm :( Is it based on the 1990's Batman animated series?

Oh yeah. The Dark Knight Returns has definitely withstood the test of time. I can say that without a doubt.

Yeah, "Batman: Mask of the Phantasm" was based on the 90s animated series. It was released in 1993, and it circled around Bruce Wayne's battle against the Phantasm. Who turns out being his girlfriend Andrea. This was one of the few American cartoons I know of to feature blood in some parts. For example, in one scene, Batman kicks the Joker in the face and knocks out a tooth from him.
